The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a group of adult volunteers in our parish who regularly gather in the spirit of friendship and service to their neighbors in need. The Society is a Catholic lay organization, founded almost two centuries ago, dedicated to growing in holiness by helping those most in need who struggle with poverty. With the utmost confidentiality and free of judgment, volunteers meet with individuals and families to learn about their challenges and possibly offer resources to alleviate some of the stress. “No work of charity is foreign to the Society” so that freedom allows us to consider any type of request such as rental/mortgage assistance, utility arrears, car repairs, furniture, and clothing, to name a few.

We have the opportunity to serve people in need in our community and make a difference in their lives. Please consider becoming part of our Society - not only will you be helping those in need, but you will also be growing in the love of God. Take time to reflect within your heart - perhaps God is calling you to serve him in the person of the poor, through the Society of St. Vincent de Paul? If you would like to become a Vincentian volunteer or would like additional information, please contact the St. Thomas the Apostle Conference.
